He has been a journalist since 1994. Nikos Filippidis has been a financial editor since 1994. During this time he has worked in television (Mega Channel), in newspapers (Kathimerini, Exousia, Isotimia), while for a long time he was a contributor to magazines and news websites.

For the past 15 years, he has been working for SKAI, initially on the radio (since 2002) and later also on TV (since 2010). He has also been Head of Economic reporting for a seven-year period.

In September 2017 he was appointed General Director of News and Information for SKAI Group. Since January 2020 he has been a anchor on Mega Channel as well as a daily columnist for the newspaper TA NEA. He studied Political Science at the Law School of the University of Athens.

In January 2017 he received the Foundation for the Promotion of Journalism Athanasios V. Botsis award for objective economic news reporting.
